What a Shirodhara session involves
Shirodhara uses a controlled stream of selected liquid, often warm oil, flowing over the forehead while you rest. The quiet setting, preparation and comfortable temperature are part of the experience. The practice will explain the proposed session and substance used before an appointment.
A suitability discussion before your session
Tell the practice about your goals and anything relevant to positioning, skin or scalp sensitivity, allergies and existing care. Vaidya Kamal can discuss whether Shirodhara fits your circumstances or whether a different approach is more appropriate.
Preparation, fees and appointment details
Shirodhara appointments are arranged directly with the San Marcos practice. Ask about the duration, what to wear, preparation, aftercare and the separate therapy fee. The $325 initial consultation fee is not a Shirodhara session price; a therapy is confirmed and priced separately.
How to begin
Use the free 15-minute phone or televisit introduction to ask about availability and the steps before a therapy appointment. A remote conversation may help clarify your questions; the Shirodhara session itself requires an in-person visit.
